The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress

Forget the royal wedding! For tweens and teens, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" wedding will be the most talked about nuptials of the year. Undoubtedly, a slew of girls will want to emulate the fashions worn by main character Bella (Kristen Stewart) during homecoming and prom season.

Alfred Angelo has designed a line of "Twilight"-inspired prom gowns that capture the tone of the movie. And Synchronicity Boutique will feature the line. Both short and long dresses, which start at $170, are available in colors such as "Black Magic," "Darkness Falls" and "Blue Horizon." There will even be an Edward replica tuxedo available for men to rent or purchase. And there's more. A replica of Bella's wedding dress will also be sold and will be priced at less than $700.

Hottest Special Occasion Clothing in Baltimore

Synchronicity Boutique, Baltimore’s "Hottest Special Occasion Clothing and Accessory Shop for Adults and Teens," Says, "Think Local First" on the 2nd Annual Buy Local, "Shop Small Saturday"

BALTIMORE – Synchronicity Boutique owner Karen Mazer is offering specials and deals on the area’s "hottest special occasion clothing and accessories for adults and teens” this Saturday.

“We hope that customers who ordinarily shop the big department stores will come out to support local retailers this weekend,” Mazer said. “We have the best special occasion clothes in town, always at the "Guaranteed lowest prices of any authorized stores, online or off," but we have received permission from our designers to offer amazing discounts no one is usually allowed to offer.”

Baltimore born and raised, here are additional ways that Mazer says buying local helps, and Synchronicity Boutique, specifically, works to support the communities that support them:

  • When You Support Your Community You Support Yourself: Studies show that when you buy from independent, locally owned businesses, more of your money is used to make purchases from other local businesses, strengthening the community's economic base. "I have a full staff of long-term, loyal employees who offer the very best, award-winning Customer Service found ANYWHERE.  I pay my local landlord rent, I buy as much from local vendors as possible, and I financially support local schools and organizations.  I pay all of my taxes and fees, and work hard to be a great member of the community.  My customers are my neighbors, my biggest boosters, and my friends- and I am grateful to be theirs.
  • Supporting Local Retailers Helps Keep Baltimore Unique: One-of-a-kind local businesses are an integral part of the distinctive character of Baltimore.  "I register every dress I sell to help prevent people wearing the same outfit to their special occasion.  I try to stock enough variety that EVERY person can find something that looks fabulous uniquely on them, no matter what their shape or size.  I honor schools', churches' and synagogues' personal requests for what they find acceptable for their event, and I often know the Clergy and Administrators from working with them over the years, both professionally and with their own families!
  • Local Retailers Support Community Groups: Non profits generally receive more support from small-business owners than they do from the "big guys."  Synchronicity donates $5 from the purchase of every regularly priced dress or tuxedo to the school that the student who will wear it attends, or to a local charity if no schools are involved.  I work with schools and community leaders to "quietly" help people who are going through a difficult time, and support many wonderful area charities.
  • Buying Local Reduces Environmental Impact: Locally owned businesses tend to make more local purchases, requiring less transportation, and generally set-up-shop in town centers as opposed to developing on the fringe. This means less urban sprawl, habitat loss and pollution.  I am located blocks from the Baltimore Beltway, Reisterstown Road, and my customers can even take Local Bus #59 to stop less than a 5 minute walk to my store.  I also work with other local businesses to support their local efforts!
  • Buying Local Creates More Jobs: Small local businesses are the nation's largest job creators. I am currently hiring!  I am looking for responsible, honorable, hard-working people who would like to be trained so they can be promoted-from-within my store as my other staff has.
  • Invest in Community: Local businesses are owned by people who live here and are less likely to leave and are more invested in the community.  My customers know my staff, and see them around the community!  We have been honored to attend wonderful, special occasions of our customers, who often visit us, "Just to say, "Hello!"  All of my models are recruited because they will be "Good representatives of Synchronicity Boutique," because we genuinely find beauty in every good person.  Our customers are the "World's Greatest," and we are genuinely grateful to be given the opportunity to serve them!
